We heard rumors of Phil Ivey teaming up with new online gaming company but now it seems to be true. The name of the company is Pala Interactive, a joint venture between the Pala Band of Mission Indians and former bwin.party CEO Jim Ryan. Online gambling in California is not legal yet but Pala Interactive offers online poker and casino games within the state upon regulation. The agreement could be later extended to other states if possible.
Real Time Software which has bwin.party among its clients will provide the casino and poker platforms. Another interesting name besides that of Phil Ivey who is one of the biggest names in poker is that of Jim Ryan. Ryan was CEO of Partygaming and later became Co-CEO at Bwin.Party Company.
Phil Ivey was a sponsored pro at Full Tilt and owned part of the site but never seemed to know what is actually going on there. He later created IveyPoker.com that also bought Lego Poker, and managed to build a very strong team of Pro’s. IveyPoker.com also launched a social poker app on Facebook recently.
Phil Ivey teaming up with new online gaming company is news worthy of mentioning since Ivey is one of the most talked about and most followed poker players in the world today.
